Fewer Photos

Overview

Fewer Photos is designed to work without an account. The application does not require your name, email address or profile information.

Percival Studio does not receive copies of your photographs, photo review decisions or Stamp Book collection.

Photo library access

Fewer Photos requests permission to access your Apple Photos library so it can display photographs, organise them by month, update favourites and submit photographs you select for deletion.

Access is controlled through iOS. You can change photo permissions at any time through the Settings application on your device.

Photo review and deletion

Keep and delete decisions are stored by the application so that review progress can continue between sessions.

Marking a photograph for deletion only adds it to the Fewer Photos deletion queue. The application does not request its removal from Apple Photos until you review the queue and explicitly confirm the deletion.

iOS presents its own system permission prompt when Fewer Photos submits changes to the photo library.

Stamp Book progress

The application may store progress including:

  • Completed calendar months
  • Total reviewed photographs
  • Review activity dates and streaks
  • Undo milestones
  • Unlocked stamps
  • Accepted and rejected location postmarks

This information is stored with the application on your device and is not sent to Percival Studio.

Location information in photographs

Some photographs contain geographic coordinates recorded by the camera or retained when the image was shared or downloaded.

Fewer Photos may use those coordinates to offer optional town and country postmarks after enough associated photographs have been reviewed.

To obtain a readable town and country name, the coordinate is submitted through Apple’s reverse-geocoding service. The photograph itself is not included in that request. Use of the Apple service is subject to Apple’s own privacy terms.

Every town postmark requires your confirmation. Rejecting a suggested location removes those photographs from location-stamp progress without changing their Keep or Delete decisions.

Accounts, analytics and advertising

Fewer Photos does not require an account and does not include third-party advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics.

Percival Studio does not sell personal information, photographs or review activity to advertisers or data brokers.

The Fewer Photos website

This companion website provides product, privacy and support information. It does not connect to the Fewer Photos application or receive your photo library, review progress or Stamp Book collection.

Deleting application data

Removing Fewer Photos from your device removes its locally stored review and Stamp Book data, subject to any device backups managed through your Apple Account.

Removing the application does not delete photographs from your Apple Photos library.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the application’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published.

Contact details for privacy and support enquiries will be published before the application is released.
